EESA is a non-profit agency comprised of Bilingual / Bicultural family advocates who are culturally trained and experienced in assessing, identifying, and addressing the needs of refugees from former Yugoslavia and Eastern Europe. We, at EESA, have faith in our America - our new home - as well as faith in our people from the former Yugoslavia.
We have left behind our birthplace and loved ones to find survival in a country without the day-to-day devastation caused by a country at war. We have left behind the ravages of war, along with the hunger, persecution and death.
It is here, in America that we want our children to grow into productive citizens and good neighbors. However, we are determined that they shall not forget their heritage and culture.
- We at EESA believe it possible to be an American citizen without surrendering those values and beliefs that have made us who we are.
- We at EESA believe in a diverse society, an America that willallow us to share its cultures and traditions -an America that will welcome us for what we are and for what we can contribute to this great society.
EESA encourages all immigrants to aspire to help build genuine communities where people of all races, ethnic backgrounds and identities are welcome where everyone is valued for what they are and for what they can contribute.
Become a volunteer today and share the true meaning of freedom in a country where growth and opportunity never ends.
